1. Who We Are

Tap 4 Drive ("we," "us," or "our") operates the platform available at tap4drive.com and provides NFC-based lead generation services to car dealerships. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from two groups: (1) dealership staff who use our dealer portal, and (2) customers who interact with our public NFC landing pages.

2. Information We Collect

From dealership customers (via NFC lead forms):

• Full name
• Phone number
• Email address (optional)
• Vehicle interest (which offer they tapped)
• Stand and store location of the tap
• Timestamp and session ID

From dealership staff (via dealer portal):

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Job title and dealership information
• Login credentials (passwords stored hashed)
• Activity logs within the portal

3. SMS Text Message Communications

Customer opt-in consent: When a customer submits a lead form on a Tap 4 Drive-powered landing page, they are asked to explicitly opt in to receive SMS text messages from the dealership. Customers must check a consent checkbox before submitting — this consent is separate from accepting the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.

What SMS messages customers may receive:

• Follow-up messages from the dealership regarding the vehicle offer they expressed interest in
• Appointment scheduling or confirmation messages
• Vehicle availability or pricing updates related to their inquiry

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on dealership follow-up practices. Typically 1–5 messages per inquiry.

Message & data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on the customer's mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out: Customers can reply STOP to any SMS message at any time to unsubscribe. No further messages will be sent. Customers can reply HELP for assistance.

Dealer staff notifications: Dealership staff who add their phone number as a notification recipient in the portal consent to receive SMS alerts for new leads submitted through their store's NFC stands. Staff can remove themselves as recipients at any time through the portal settings.

We do not sell, rent, or share customer phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected through lead forms are shared only with the specific dealership the customer expressed interest in.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To connect customers with dealerships they expressed interest in
• To send lead alerts to dealership staff via email and SMS
• To provide analytics and reporting to dealership administrators
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Tap 4 Drive platform
• To send service or transactional emails to portal users

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With dealerships: Customer lead data is shared with the dealership whose NFC stand the customer interacted with.
• With service providers: We use Twilio for SMS delivery, Resend for email delivery, and Neon for database hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.
• For legal compliance: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Data Retention

Lead data is retained for as long as the dealership's account is active, or as required by applicable law. Dealership accounts can request deletion of lead data at any time by contacting us at hello@tap4drive.com.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, hashed password storage, and role-based access controls. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights
